A deer forum was held on 6 December 2025 at Halls Gap attended by about 80 people. A range of speakers covered topics from current control programs to actions that land mangers can take to reduce impacts. There was some discussion around the vision of eliminating feral deer from the Grampians/Gariwerd National Park, taking particular advantage post fire of the lighter canopy for effective aerial shooting.
