The Victorian Deer Control Community Network (VDCCN) has been in place for over a year now and we have achieved a lot in that time.
The success of the VDCCN relies heavily on an active committee. The inaugural committee has done a great job guiding the role, work and growth of the VDCCN. Its time to now establish the new committee for 2022/23. We hope the current committee members stay on, however some may like a break and we welcome any new committee members to provide direction and advice for the VDCCN.
Details of the AGM are:
Date: Wednesday 26 October 2022
Time : 5 pm – 6 pm
Place: online; see Zoom link below.
Are you interested in getting more involved with the VDCCN?
If you would like to contribute to the direction of the VDCCN through being on the committee we would welcome that indeed. It’s not a big time commitment; its more about ideas, guidance and advice. The committee meetings are online and we expect about every two months in 2022/23.
If you are thinking about that, have a chat with myself or the Chair, Johannes Wenzel. You can call me 0487 295198 or email [email protected] or Johannes on 0418 346 895.
We will be joined at the AGM by guest speakers; the topic is “Taking action locally on feral deer”.
Jenny O’Sullivan will talk about community action on feral deer in the Cape Liptrap Area.
Robert Endersby and Mike Edmonds will discuss the devastating impact of feral deer on their farm in the Dandynong Ranges.
Carol and Russel Oldham experienced the impact of a deliberate release of Fallow deer in their area and will talk about how the community was impacted and responded.
